The recycling centres are closed during Sunday's and public holidays. Please be advised that after holiday periods or public holidays, the recycling centres will be busier than shown here.

As of February 1, 2024, as a resident of an Avalex municipality, you can visit the Avalex recycling centres 12 times a year for free. Every visit to the recycling centre is registered at your address via the (digital) Avalex pass. From the 13th visit, a rate of € 16,90 will be charged. This rate is redetermined annually. You pay the rate with PIN at the recycling centre. You can find more information in the news item.

Residents of the municipality of Pijnacker-Nootdorp can also take their small bulky waste and small chemical waste (SCW) to the mobile recycle centre. Residents of the municipality of Leidschendam-Voorburg can bring their SCW to the SCW car.

We make sure that the waste you bring to the recycling centre is collected in separate containers. We can process whatever you separate out into pieces of different type of material, making materials reusable as raw materials for new products.

This is what you can take to the recycling centre: batteries, asbestos, (car) tyres, sleepers and impregnated wood, bitumen and roof gravel (only The Hague and Wassenaar), construction and demolition waste, electrical appliances, medicine, plaster, bulky household waste, bulky garden waste (pruning waste), glass, small chemical waste (SCW), mattresses, scrap iron/metal, paper/cardboard, plastic and metal packaging and drinking cartons (PMD), polystyrene foam, rubble, textiles, clothing and shoes, carpets.

Most waste can be handed in free of charge, but we do make a charge for the following: construction and demolition waste, roofing felt (bitumen and roof gravel), plaster, impregnated wood and sleepers, and rubble. You can pay by bank card.

Don't forget to bring your Avalex pass (digital or card). Please note: recycling centres are closed on Sundays and public holidays. Would you rather we pick up bulky waste from your home address? Then make an appointment

Asbestos

Asbestos is very harmful to health. You should therefore never put this material in a container or put it out with bulky waste. Do you have less than 35 m2 of asbestos and cannot it be damaged during removal and transport? As a private individual you can remove asbestos yourself and hand it in to the Avalex recycling centres upon presentation of a permit . How does that work?

KCA-depot

Every recycling centre has a KCA (small chemicals) depot. Although the KCA depot in Delft is directly accessible, you must always report yourself at the gate first. You can then hand over the waste to an Avalex employee. Is the KCA depot closed? Press the bell and wait for an employee to arrive.

Recycling container

Give your things a second life and hand them in to us recycling container at the recycling center in Delft! You will find the container in front of the barrier, on the right side of the site. You can go there with your used clothing, books, small household appliances, toys or other items that are still in good working order. An employee will assess whether the items are suitable for the recycling container. This is a six-month trial. The opening hours are:

Monday to Friday08.30 – 17.00 uur
Saturday11 am - 3 pm

What belongs somewhere else?

The recycling centre does not take in all types of waste. If you wish to dispose of sand, soil, manure and sod, you will need to take that to special final processors.
