How to separate your household waste

Would you like to know when we empty your bin? Please check our calendar (this webpage is only available in Dutch) and fill in your postal code and house number. You can also download the calendar in PDF-format or add it to the calendar in your smartphone or computer.

Avalex pass
You will need an Avalex pass to use the underground containers and to bring bulky waste to the waste collection centre. This pass is connected to your address. Each address gets only one pass. You can order a pass using the online form. If you have just moved and there is no pass in your new household yet, the pass is free of charge. For a replacement pass the charge is €7.50.

Recycling is especially crucial since many of the raw materials we consume can be reused, and it creates less of an impact on the environment.

We separate different types of household waste, like organic waste (GFT), glass (Glas), paper (Papier), Textiles (Textiel) and Plastic, Metal and Drink cartons (PMD).

  • What time will my waste be collected?

    Your waste is collected between 7.30 and 16.00. It is not possible to indicate an exact time.

    Make sure to put out your container(s) before 7.30am on your collection day.  It is preferable that you put it out on the day itself. This way you help to combat filth and nuisance from animals. You can find the correct collection day in your household waste calendar.

  • How do I report a full or defective underground container?

    Is the underground waste container in your street full or broken? Or have you seen that a underground waste container for glass, paper or plastic waste is full? Please feel free to contact our customer service at 0900-0507 or visit our social media pages.

    Our employees will ask you to provide a container number (Starting with OOC/BOC.XXXXX). This number can be found on the container and is mounted on a visible location. This ensures that we can quickly resolve any problems  the container.

    Sometimes a container appears to be full but it is not. Give the rubbish a strong push or use another opening.
